This is Giulio Beltramo’s third release as an independent composer, lyricist and artist. From the outset Giulio has been influenced strongly by the Alternative music genre, in its allowance of expressive lyrics and more explorative melodic and harmonic composition.
Heartbreak I’ve Become was written in Cape Town, South Africa, and is most probably the most personally specific piece by the artist. However, in keeping with accordance of Giulio’s intentions, the song still offers a profound sense of relatability allowing for a subjective emotional connection with each of its listeners.
Giulio’s musical journey began in 2017 with the release of his debut album Upside Down Inside Out. This was an essential learning opportunity for the artist and took him to the United Kingdom on a mini-tour, performing at various spots round the country including the 02 Academy Islington.
Upon his return Giulio embarked on the production process of What A Mess, the artist’s second release and most successful release to date with over 66,000 streams on Apple Music and 20,000 on Spotify. The song was too featured on Apple Music’s Best of the Week as well as Alternative Music Hot Tracks, and on Spotify was featured on the New Music Friday and Chilled Music playlist, as well as Future Fresh Mzansi.
Giulio has been steadily growing his audience and fan base with various concerts across the country, as well as being featured on a Popsicle TV session and hosted on the Expresso Morning Show.
With the release of Heartbreak I’ve Become, comes a music video and a collection of concept photos. This marks the first release of 2019 for the artist, however will be one of a few to come this year. Since the release on Friday the song has been added to Apple Music’s Best of the Week, as well as Hot Tracks, and on New Music Friday on Spotify.
